Base Salary
$142k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain software that abstracts build, release, and deployment events for development organizations.
- Improve the experience of thousands of developers by understanding their needs and measuring workflow improvements.
- Work directly with application development teams to implement CI/CD best practices.
- Lead development of critical features and ensure they meet user needs and are fit for purpose.
- Support organization-wide build and artifact storage systems.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support systems and services during production incidents.
- Collaborate with remote team members in a team-based software development process.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, C++, C, or C#.
- Familiarity with Bash or PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of collaborative software development lifecycles and experience with workflows such as Scrum, Kanban, GitOps, monorepos, microservices, and feature flagging.
- Experience with version-controlled environments and CI/CD workflows.
- Proficiency setting up and maintaining pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, Argo, or SonarQube.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux, including filesystems, user and group management, process control, permissions, SSH key management, and secure shell operations.
- Hands-on experience with AWS core services and familiarity with the wider AWS ecosystem; knowledge of other cloud providers is desirable.
- Experience building, running, and debugging Docker containerized applications, with operational knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure through code and configuration using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with integrating AI tooling into software development workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and effective collaboration skills.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
