Base Salary

$104k - $204k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB.
  • Own technical pre-sales activities including discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization, qualification, pipeline generation, and multi-threaded account strategy.
  • Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
  • Build customer relationships, develop champions, and drive customer success and satisfaction.
  • Relay field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of MongoDB products and relevant industry trends.

Requirements

  • Ideally 8–11 years of related customer-facing experience, including 5–7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C, C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to review complex application architectures and recommend technology improvements to customers.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to technical and business leadership.
  • Ability to strategize with sales teams and align internal and ecosystem resources to develop account plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Preferred qualifications include database sales or programming experience, major cloud-provider deployment experience, data engineering or AI/ML project experience, legacy-system modernization experience, MongoDB or cloud-provider certification, and familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
