Base Salary

$99k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Embed with program teams to document workflows, systems, data flows, decision points, and exception paths.
  • Create operating maps and automation roadmaps that prioritize workflows and assign responsibilities across deterministic software, AI agents, and human approval.
  • Design, build, integrate, and deploy AI agents across existing enterprise tools, APIs, and data sources.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks, golden datasets, regression tests, and feedback processes for non-deterministic systems.
  • Scale agents from shadow mode through increasing autonomy into production while monitoring performance and outcomes.
  • Instrument agents with audit trails, monitoring, and metrics for transparency, risk reduction, time savings, and business value.
  • Drive adoption through change management, workforce training, role redesign, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Create reusable playbooks and components and share field feedback with the Global Defense Disruption Cell.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, technical advisory, or solutions engineering roles.
  • 2+ years of experience building applications with generative and agentic AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, MCP, or multi-agent orchestration.
  • Experience deploying an LLM-powered system or AI agent to production, including evaluation, monitoring, and post-launch iteration.
  • Production programming experience with Python or TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems and data sources such as ERP, CRM, ITSM, or SharePoint platforms.
  • Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders to elicit requirements, map processes, and guide technology adoption.
  • Knowledge of evaluation techniques including golden datasets, regression testing, and human-in-the-loop feedback.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and communicate with technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred experience with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, LangGraph, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
  • Preferred experience in forward-deployed, embedded, or customer-site engineering roles.
  • Preferred organizational change management, training, communications, workforce transition, or user adoption experience.
  • Preferred business process analysis or process mapping experience, including BPMN or value stream mapping.
  • Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
  • Preferred ability to quantify automation impact through cost savings, risk mitigation, or revenue uplift.
  • A Secret clearance and master's degree are preferred.
