Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise workshops on AI trust, governance, security posture, resilience, and operating models.
- Identify high-value AI use cases and translate business requirements into technical scopes, architectures, delivery phases, estimates, and risk assessments.
- Write actionable statements of work for AI build and governance engagements.
- Build prototypes and production components including agent workflows, RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, MCP-based tools, and governance controls.
- Develop custom adapters and local tooling for regulated, cloud-restricted, sovereign, or air-gapped environments.
- Own technical client relationships from discovery through go-live, including enablement, adoption support, and production troubleshooting.
- Travel to client sites and operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM systems in real projects.
- Hands-on machine learning experience covering model development, evaluation, deployment, operationalization, predictive analytics, and scalable MLOps.
- Practical experience with LLM APIs, frameworks, RAG, agentic workflows, and tool or function calling.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, and/or TypeScript, with working fluency in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience scoping technical projects from ambiguous requirements and producing credible plans with phases, estimates, and risks.
- Excellent communication skills with senior executives, technical stakeholders, and platform engineers.
- Preferred experience includes AI governance and compliance, AI security, MCP, agent runtimes, vector databases, enterprise data governance, security, backup or resilience, Microsoft 365, regulated industries, air-gapped environments, and forward-deployed or customer-facing engineering.
- Additional languages relevant to the client region are a plus.
