Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, deliver, maintain, debug, and improve software within the existing system architecture.
  • Build, analyze, and optimize reliable backend services primarily in Python and Go.
  • Contribute to React-based user interfaces and reusable front-end components when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with product management, architects, user experience, documentation, and engineering teams to build features and products.
  • Understand production system trade-offs and contribute to testing, observability, operational excellence, and the engineering culture.
  • Lead code reviews and use customer experience insights to prevent future problems.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent training or work experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Python and/or Go, or another modern programming language, with willingness to work in Python and Go.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with Kubernetes systems, kubectl, and Docker containers.
  • Experience with thoughtfully designed APIs and influencing API design choices.
  • Mastery of test-driven development and automated unit, functional, and integration testing.
  • React or another modern front-end framework experience is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
