.Net Engineer – Clearing Risk Platform, daily rate contract

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable service-based systems for the clearing risk platform.
- Design data solutions aligned with engineering standards, governance, quality, and security practices.
- Uplift the existing platform and introduce new products in collaboration with experienced engineers and the product team.
- Implement automation, standardized configuration management, and streamlined execution across environments.
- Develop subject-matter expertise in .NET engineering tools, frameworks, and practices.
- Build and embed automated testing and validation, including unit testing.
- Support logging, monitoring, and observability practices.
Requirements
- Solid experience building service-based applications in C# or an equivalent object-oriented language such as Java or typed Python.
- Solid experience with REST-based service-hosting frameworks such as ASP.NET or Spring Boot.
- Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data-modelling techniques.
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL, preferably SQL Server.
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as EF Core, Dapper, or Hibernate.
- Strong collaboration, communication, facilitation, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and understanding of DevOps concepts and tooling.
- Understanding of automation and unit-testing concepts and frameworks, with working knowledge of xUnit.
- Markets experience is desirable.
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes, CI/CD platforms such as GitLab or the Atlassian suite, and cloud-native engineering environments, ideally AWS, is desirable.
