Base Salary

$165k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive program-level decisions for RF system designs
  • Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems
  • Design, build, validate, and automate RF test benches for custom RF characterization
  • Develop modular, scalable RF test infrastructure and automation sequences in Python and C++ for design validation, qualification, and production
  • Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers to design and validate RF systems
  • Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware to evaluate performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline
  • At least five years of professional development experience in C/C++ or Python
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers
  • RF experience with antennas or communication systems
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline preferred
  • Experience testing active and passive RF devices, including filters, amplifiers, mixers, and upconverters/downconverters preferred
  • Knowledge of RF concepts including gain, linearity, P1dB, ACLR, EVM, PAE, S-parameters, and input/output matching preferred
  • Experience with software design principles, software architecture, design patterns, and unit/integration testing methodology preferred
  • Experience with environmental test methodologies and equipment such as thermal chambers and temperature forcing systems preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting software-hardware interactions involving network devices and laboratory instrumentation preferred
  • Experience using Windows and Linux preferred
  • Experience with configuration management and version control software preferred
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
