$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages for manufacturing and engineering design verification.
- Write automation software that interacts with flight hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems.
- Create custom automation solutions using embedded electronics and innovative hardware.
- Develop algorithms to analyze complex test data and determine whether components meet acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation infrastructure and identify root causes of failures with partner teams.
- Define project plans, manage milestones, and conduct reviews to deliver reliable test systems to production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of software development experience, or 7+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Development experience in C, C++, or Python, or full-stack software development experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with networking protocols, configuration management, version control, continuous integration, and automated testing.
- Experience with control feedback loops, numerical analysis, signal processing, and digital and analog interfaces.
- Experience troubleshooting software-hardware interactions involving network devices and lab instrumentation.
- Preferred experience includes spacecraft fluid systems, high-power electrical systems, electromechanical systems, and embedded hardware product development.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations; active-clearance work may require pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
