Base Salary
$165k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages for manufacturing and engineering design verification.
- Write automation software that interacts with flight hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems.
- Develop automation solutions using embedded electronics and custom hardware for engineering and manufacturing challenges.
- Create algorithms to analyze complex test data and determine whether components meet acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation infrastructure, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate corrections with partner teams.
- Define project plans, manage milestones, and conduct reviews to deliver reliable test systems to production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline.
- At least 5 years of software programming experience using Python, C, or similar languages.
- Computer science education or experience, strong software knowledge, and extensive Linux and Windows experience are preferred.
- Preferred experience includes configuration management, version control, continuous integration, agile development, and automation that improves manufacturing yields and reduces production time.
- Preferred experience includes application, test, or automation software in interdisciplinary environments; control feedback loops; numerical analysis; and signal processing.
- Preferred knowledge includes GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting software-hardware interactions, spacecraft fluid systems, high-power electrical systems, electro-mechanical systems, and embedded hardware product development.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
