Responsibilities
- Understand and communicate the existing Rust-based Agave validator client implementation.
- Translate Rust code into high-quality, readable, and performant Zig code.
- Analyze and optimize software bottlenecks using high-performance techniques such as SIMD operations.
- Own validator component implementation, benchmarking, and testing from start to finish.
- Collaborate with engineers to explain complex technical concepts and design new features.
- Progress toward independent code reviews, end-to-end delivery, and mentoring new engineers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related professional experience using Rust.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
- Experience with Zig, C, or C++ is nice to have but not required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, code ownership, and performance optimization skills.
