Responsibilities
- Design and implement features across software components powering the product search system.
- Design and deploy scalable pipelines for data processing, model training, and model inference.
- Deploy ML models, integrate them into existing services, and optimize their production performance.
- Build metrics, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms for deployed services and models.
- Collaborate with ML scientists and engineering teams to identify improvements and resolve technical obstacles.
- Coordinate with engineering counterparts and stakeholders across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 1 year of experience building large-scale pipelines for data processing and ML model training or inference.
- Strong coding and problem-solving skills in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, or C++.
- General understanding of essential machine learning concepts.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, build processes, testing, and deployment.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- Preferred: professional experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, EMR, or DynamoDB.
- Preferred: experience working in multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers.
- Preferred: experience with NLP applications or search/retrieval engines.
- Preferred: fluency in one or more languages other than English.
