Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust backend APIs, services, data access layers, and integrations.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide backend engineering practices and technical decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Frontend, and Data teams.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD, observability, secure coding, and compliance practices.
- Drive automation, reduce operational toil, improve developer experience, and optimize service performance.
- Lead distributed teams and promote technical excellence across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are appreciated.
- 4–6 years of professional backend development experience.
- Expertise building backend services and APIs with .NET/C# or Python.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and other relational or NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews.
- Working knowledge of Azure Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Azure Service Bus.
- Understanding of security fundamentals and observability practices.
- Preferred: experience with microservices, DDD, CQRS, event-driven architectures, GraphQL, gRPC, API gateways, Redis, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Preferred: background in regulated environments or financial services and experience leading distributed teams.
