Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI agents and software solutions supporting supply chain operations.
- Apply prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, LLM orchestration, MCP/function calling, evaluation techniques, and guardrails to build enterprise AI agents.
- Develop AI agent software, system integrations, data models, and data pipelines using Python, SQL, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Build scalable AI solutions using Docker and Kubernetes and incorporate software engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, source control, and secure coding practices.
- Partner with business, product, infrastructure, information security, and data engineering teams to define requirements and integrate AI solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production AI and software solutions.
- Own projects from concept through production deployment, communicate status and risks to leadership, and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay current with AI technologies and contribute to the organization's AI strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or data science, including at least 1 year focused on agentic AI development.
- Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks such as Google's Agent Development Kit or OpenAI Agents SDK.
- Knowledge of Model Context Protocol and Agent-to-Agent communication protocols.
- Strong proficiency with cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform, with AWS or Azure experience also considered.
- Advanced experience with Python, APIs, SQL, system design, DevOps/AIOps practices, and familiarity with JavaScript and modern frontend technologies.
- Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing production AI and software solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and communication abilities.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's or other advanced degree, fine-tuning large language models, custom AI algorithm development, logistics or supply chain experience, Snowflake, GCP Vertex AI Agent Builder, enterprise-scale AI deployment, and AI governance or responsible AI experience.
