Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Administer Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases in managed cloud environments.
- Build and manage monitoring, auditing, logging, and alerting systems for database health.
- Establish operational standards, documentation, and runbooks.
- Support application deployments and database releases.
- Analyze and optimize database performance and perform root cause analysis of performance incidents.
- Automate database refreshes and data masking between production and non-production environments.
- Support regulatory audits and partner with security teams on data governance, patching, secret management, and access controls.
- Modernize deployment automation and collaborate on data movement architectures.
- Design and test backup, restore, replication, and failure strategies to meet recovery objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing production Oracle databases in a regulated healthcare environment is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle database administration and cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS or GCP is preferred.
- Knowledge of database automation, scripting, and deployment processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with observability frameworks, telemetry-driven operations, and site reliability engineering principles is preferred.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms and Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA, FedRAMP, or HITRUST compliance standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with change data capture technologies and Kubernetes-based environments is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills are preferred.
