Base Salary
$110k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements refinement, architecture discussions, design reviews, and test plan development across the full stack.
- Write maintainable software, documentation, and unit, component, and integration tests.
- Develop and maintain event-driven, multithreaded Windows applications that interact with embedded devices.
- Debug and resolve issues across software and hardware interfaces.
- Collaborate with quality engineering, systems engineering, and electrical engineering teams on testing and integration.
- Research tools, technologies, and testing processes and contribute to code reviews and engineering documentation.
- Adapt and scale existing systems, prototype solutions, and evolve them into production-grade systems.
- Contribute documentation required for regulated development environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or higher in a STEM discipline and at least 6 years of professional coding experience.
- At least 4 years of software design and development experience and at least 3 years of Windows programming with C# and .NET in an embedded device environment.
- Experience developing event-driven, multithreaded Windows applications using WPF, WCF, .NET, and C# is strongly preferred.
- Experience with I2C, SPI, USB, Serial, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth protocols.
- Experience with structured software and systems development, integration, software design methodologies, design patterns, and component-oriented software architecture.
- Knowledge of software lifecycle processes in regulated development environments and understanding of hardware, embedded systems, and microprocessors.
- Experience developing software in a structured or regulated environment such as medical device development.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Windows driver development, software framework automation, RS232 communication with embedded devices, or communication with pressure and vacuum gauges is helpful.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to author engineering documentation.
