Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software products in the Core Banking technology stack.
- Support the end-to-end software delivery and operational lifecycle.
- Perform software development, testing, troubleshooting, and operational support across technology stacks.
- Advance modern software development practices and participate in future-state software architecture discussions.
- Work with Operations, Development, and Test Engineers to identify and resolve performance, alerting, operator-intervention, and design-defect issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, agile coaches, product owners, and other stakeholders to support Core Banking product strategy and engineering capabilities.
- Promote engineering productivity, quality, and a strong engineering culture across global teams.
- Maintain expertise in current technologies, cybersecurity practices, and regulations related to data privacy, consent, and data residency.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience engineering and delivering software products.
- Hands-on experience with RPG, RPGLE, SQL, CLLE, CL, OS/400, and DB2/400.
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, responsive UI components, design concepts, and design patterns.
- Familiarity with software development security practices and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for working with global teams.
- Knowledge of Splunk, AppDynamics, JIRA, and Confluence is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud environments.
- Experience working in agile and DevOps environments and fostering a strong engineering culture.
- A track record of improving engineer productivity and software quality.
- Experience collaborating across multiple engineering centers, territories, and time zones.
- Adaptability to work with legacy and emerging technologies as project needs require.
