Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain moderately complex software using front-end and back-end programming languages across multiple platforms.
- Design program specifications, analyze applications and databases, and create application documentation.
- Write, debug, modify, test, and validate code and implement corrective measures for code deficiencies.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.
- Support the design, development, and enforcement of application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, and PCI security compliance.
- Prepare basic billable-hour and resource estimates and assist with training and guiding other software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least 4 years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more front-end or back-end languages and moderate understanding of the corresponding technology area.
- Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages, APIs, external services, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred qualifications include 6 or more years of relevant professional experience and experience with IBM Rational Tools.
- Ability to work as a seasoned, fully qualified journey-level professional with limited day-to-day instruction.
