Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow App Engine and Flow Designer workflow automation solutions.
- Build reusable flows, modules, templates, and other components for scalable and sustainable development.
- Implement AI-enabled capabilities such as intelligent routing, automation recommendations, and workflow enhancements.
- Design and maintain REST/SOAP API, webhook, event-based, and Integration Hub integrations.
- Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and performance improvements for integration processes.
- Guide business users and citizen developers on ServiceNow best practices, guardrails, and platform standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, operational stakeholders, and platform teams to deliver automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot workflow, integration, and platform issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ensure solutions meet governance, security, regulatory, auditability, data integrity, and operational resilience requirements.
- Create and maintain solution designs, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational guides.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, especially with App Engine and workflow automation.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, JavaScript, Business Rules, and Script Includes.
- Experience with API-based integrations, including REST and SOAP, plus error handling, logging, and monitoring practices.
- Ability to design reusable, scalable ServiceNow solutions and understand enterprise IT, identity, and security concepts.
- Understanding of AI-enabled workflow capabilities, AI governance, ethical considerations, and responsible AI usage.
- Experience in operations or business-facing squads is desirable; regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Exposure to low-code and citizen-development environments is a plus.
- Recommended certifications include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, Integration Hub or Flow Designer micro-certifications, and additional CIS certifications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, organizational, and continuous-learning skills.
