Base Salary
$108k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide direct technical support to stakeholders and resolve technical issues.
- Design and implement embedded software that satisfies customer and certification needs.
- Produce high-quality software builds in an integrated test environment.
- Derive software requirements, create UML design diagrams, and code solutions from those designs.
- Collaborate with Senior and Principal Software Engineers and mentor junior engineers and interns.
- Assist with software requirements verification and test phases.
- Support opportunities to lead as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Cost Account Manager, or Software Lead.
Requirements
- Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 5 years of experience.
- Requires an active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance before the start date and U.S. citizenship because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the clearance.
- Requires at least 5 years of professional embedded software development experience with real-time operating systems.
- Requires experience with Agile development methods, Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Requires familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
- Preferred experience includes aerospace, defense, or nuclear command-and-control systems governed by DO-178C, MIL-STD-498, or equivalent standards.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to Earned Value Management principles.
