Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design for endpoint and workload protection, EDR/XDR, application control, vulnerability and exposure management, CSPM/SSPM, email and gateway defense, network and perimeter defense, and deception capabilities.
- Define and maintain enterprise defense reference architecture, integration patterns, technical standards, and deployment blueprints across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Align endpoint security strategy with business, security, and regulatory objectives and partner with product management and engineering leads on technical roadmaps and modernization.
- Design automated workflows connecting vulnerability discoveries, threat intelligence, remediation prioritization, and stakeholders.
- Integrate telemetry from enterprise defense tools into SIEM, SOAR, and SOC detection pipelines.
- Lead threat modeling, architecture assessments, emerging-technology evaluations, proof-of-concept evaluations, RFP processes, and merger-and-acquisition architecture reviews.
- Work with Scrum engineering teams, other architects, engineering leads, and program managers, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- 15 or more years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering, network security, and infrastructure defense.
- 8 or more years of experience in an enterprise security architect role overseeing multi-domain defense stacks.
- Expertise architecting EDR and XDR platforms and application control solutions, with deep knowledge of CSPM and SSPM tools.
- Proficiency with vulnerability platforms and API-integrated email security tools.
- In-depth knowledge of secure web gateways, SSL/TLS decryption at scale, and secure browsers.
- Hands-on experience designing deception environments with honeypots, bait credentials, canary tokens, and Active Directory deception.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure, creating proof-of-concept architecture with code, and continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitLab CI.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Preferred qualifications include CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF, or vendor-specific certifications; Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, ELK, Grafana, AppDynamics, and Agile/Scrum experience.
