Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize end-to-end machine learning systems and models for Android’s next-generation AI agent.
- Translate ambiguous user needs and product goals for agentic AI into well-defined technical problems and innovative ML solutions.
- Architect and implement data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and processing datasets used to train and fine-tune ML models.
- Lead the development, training, and continuous improvement of machine learning models with emphasis on on-device performance and user privacy.
- Establish and own evaluation frameworks for measuring model quality, reliability, helpfulness, and personalization.
- Set technical direction and lead project teams across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization.
- At least 5 years of experience with ML design and infrastructure, including model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of software design and architecture experience.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or Large Language Model interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
