Base Salary
$130k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance cloud-based microservices using AWS and TypeScript.
- Build services that communicate through well-defined APIs while applying software engineering, design, and architectural patterns.
- Use AI developer tools for context gathering, boilerplate generation, test generation, and code refactoring while validating outputs for security and correctness.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and work toward high test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture and design sessions, Agile ceremonies, sprint activities, and collaboration with stakeholders and product owners.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing service-oriented applications using Java, Python, C#, TypeScript, or another modern language.
- Experience designing and building microservice-based systems with high cohesion and loose coupling.
- TypeScript is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable using modern object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience integrating AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Claude into the development workflow.
- Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores and industry-standard design and architectural patterns.
- Understanding of software security practices including OAuth, JWT, and encryption.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban and effective English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- AWS serverless experience and familiarity with DynamoDB and SQS are preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills.
