Base Salary
$176k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop data ingestion, discoverability, governance, derivation, and serving systems for machine learning and agentic initiatives.
- Build scalable service endpoints for data retrieval and deliver services from code development through production deployment.
- Work with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, data engineering technologies, and machine learning-related data workflows.
- Design, maintain, and improve sophisticated object-oriented software collaboratively.
- Implement testing and quality practices including unit, system/integration, and end-to-end testing, feature toggles, and canary deployments.
- Monitor and operate production services, including logging, metrics, performance, production triage, and on-call support.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years of proficiency in at least two of Java, Scala, and Python.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and managed services on AWS or GCP.
- Experience with at least one of Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Apache Avro, Apache Kafka, or Apache Flink.
- Experience with production deployment using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
- Experience with scalable service endpoints, monitoring and observability technologies, object-oriented software, testing, operating-system concepts, performance and scale, security, availability, deployment, and operations.
- Experience owning a production service, including production triage and on-call.
