Responsibilities
- Develop AI-driven capabilities, agentic flows, and tools for observability and incident response.
- Champion monitoring, alerting, automation, and operational methods across the organization.
- Build relationships with engineering teams and drive adoption of enterprise observability tooling.
- Ensure key assets are observable and create automated responses to common production issues.
- Establish specification-driven standards for operations and observability.
- Reimagine incident detection, triage, and response at scale.
- Administer and integrate monitoring tools, write synthetic testing scripts, automate alert responses, and document monitoring solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years of related experience, or an alternative combination such as a master’s degree with 2 years, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year, or 16 years of related experience.
- Professional experience with ServiceNow ITOM, Discovery, CSDN, and integration of monitoring and ITIL systems.
- Hands-on builder and integrator experience with CloudWatch, New Relic, SolarWinds, Splunk, PagerDuty, and ServiceNow ITOM.
- Experience writing synthetic tests in Python, Ruby, or JavaScript using Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium.
- Expertise in distributed systems, failure modes, observability instrumentation, metrics, logs, traces, and large-scale alerting.
- Experience building internal platforms, developer tools, or scalable automation.
- Experience with Git or version control, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and API design.
- Production ownership experience including on-call, incident response, and observability.
- Strong technical writing, diagramming, analytical ability, attention to detail, collaboration, and adaptability.
