Responsibilities
- Design and build systems and tools used throughout Jane Street.
- Solve technical problems supporting trading desks, accounting, research, and foundational infrastructure.
- Implement capabilities such as network monitoring and risk models.
- Use OCaml for software development and Python for data analysis, visualization, and machine learning.
- Contribute to and support open-source projects including Mercurial, the OCaml compiler, and the OPAM package manager.
Requirements
- Strong programming ability and enthusiasm for technology.
- Intellectual curiosity, collaboration, humility, and eagerness to learn.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior experience in OCaml, functional programming, Python, finance, or another specific field is not required.
