Base Salary
$144k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, reusable, scalable, well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, and resilient software across multiple technologies.
- Build and operate translation pipelines and internationalization tooling integrated with translation management systems and CI/CD.
- Improve internationalization across the customer experience and contribute to shared i18n frameworks and AI/LLM-powered translation tools.
- Contribute to the localization systems technical roadmap with attention to scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, analysts, Localization, and Legal partners.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint rituals, hiring, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Have strong computer science, web, and native app fundamentals, including design patterns, Unicode, ICU/CLDR, and locale-aware formatting.
- Have 3+ years of software development experience, ideally including internationalization or localization.
- Have professional experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, or Go.
- Have knowledge of basic architecture, systems design, and agile practices.
- Demonstrate excellent collaboration skills across technical and business partner teams.
- Preferred qualifications include right-to-left or bidirectional support, hands-on experience with Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling, or Transifex, and fintech or remittance experience.
