Responsibilities
- Lead security investigations, incident coordination, and incident management.
- Develop and maintain incident response policies, processes, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
- Design, implement, maintain, and roadmap the organization’s SIEM capabilities.
- Oversee the build and ongoing operation of a follow-the-sun Security Operations Center, including alert prioritization, investigation, and escalation.
- Develop SOAR workflows to automate repetitive security operations and improve response times.
- Develop and champion an enterprise Threat Detection and Response program.
- Conduct tabletop exercises and security testing to validate controls and identify gaps.
- Mentor employees, communicate security risks and best practices, and drive security adoption across the organization.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Compliance teams to integrate security into business activities.
- Monitor regulatory requirements and support security risk assessments and mitigation efforts.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience.
- Minimum four-year bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, coordination, project management, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of CASB, DLP, and SASE technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, high-pressure environments and respond rapidly to emerging incidents.
- Hands-on experience engineering and implementing data security controls in cloud environments, including databases, datastores, and SaaS platforms.
- Experience with Linux and Kubernetes/container management and security.
- Experience with DevOps code-based implementation and management.
- Knowledge of AWS services including S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, and AWS Security Center.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking, protocols, and services.
- Understanding of threat actors, organizational breaches, and customer account compromise.
- Broad understanding of security, compliance, business, risk, and operations and their application to the business.
