Base Salary
$173k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for end-to-end features spanning mobile applications, backend services, and data or algorithmic solutions.
- Execute manual and automated testing, including regression, integration, exploratory, performance, and release testing.
- Validate data flows, algorithm accuracy, ring-to-mobile connectivity, backend processing, and user-facing health insights.
- Report defects and bugs clearly, analyze results, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to debug and resolve complex issues.
- Build, maintain, and enhance mobile and API test automation frameworks using tools such as Pytest and Appium.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain stable, high-value regression suites.
- Manage test data and environments, including emulators, simulators, and test rings.
- Monitor and visualize quality metrics such as coverage, defect trends, pass rates, and performance results.
- Own and improve testing capabilities, QA processes, methodologies, documentation, and quality standards.
- Mentor junior test team members and explore AI-driven testing approaches and tools.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience designing, building, and executing automated tests for complex applications.
- Experience testing complex multi-component systems involving embedded software, mobile applications, and cloud-based applications.
- Hands-on experience with QA automation frameworks such as Pytest, Appium, and Playwright or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and tooling.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and continuous testing practices.
- Experience testing health, wellness, wearable, or data-driven applications, including hardware in laboratory environments.
- Experience with algorithm, time-series, or sensor-driven feature validation is a strong plus.
- Experience testing embedded firmware and Bluetooth-enabled devices, including connectivity, syncing, and reliability, is a plus.
- Experience analyzing wireless communication logs and traces to identify root causes and performance issues is a plus.
- Experience with LLMs and AI-driven development or testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
