Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical designs to define testing requirements and coverage.
- Design, write, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Execute manual tests and automated test scripts across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
- Identify, reproduce, document, triage, and verify software defects, including regression testing after fixes.
- Perform RESTful API validation and database verification using SQL queries.
- Participate in QA planning, estimation, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and continuous improvement of testing processes and standards.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and business analysts to communicate quality risks and clarify requirements.
- Assess and escalate risk while supporting compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience as a Software Test Analyst, QA Engineer, or in a similar software quality assurance role.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including STLC and SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or HP ALM.
- Proficiency testing RESTful APIs with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger.
- Ability to write SQL queries, including SELECT statements and JOINs, to verify backend data.
- Experience testing web applications across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, as well as mobile applications on iOS and Android.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
