Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Design and enhance test automation frameworks and maintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts.
- Perform functional, non-functional, unit, integration, regression, smoke, black-box, and non-black-box testing.
- Develop backend API tests using Rest Assured and Karate and perform database testing using JDBC/JPA.
- Create applications and unit test cases that validate functional requirements and compliance with privacy, security, and organizational standards.
- Integrate automated testing into continuous testing and CI/CD processes.
- Identify dependencies and communicate environmental and test-data requirements.
- Analyze defects, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with developers, architects, Product Owners, and internal and external teams to improve software quality.
- Research technical solutions, apply testing methodologies, and contribute to risk and control processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools including Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
- Experience with Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, Jira, and other CI/CD technologies.
- Extensive experience testing components based on modern scripting languages and strong experience with automated testing and test-driven development.
- Detailed understanding of smoke, black-box, non-black-box, regression, unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Expert hands-on experience with backend test automation using Rest Assured and Karate for API testing.
- Experience with JDBC/JPA for database testing using Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake.
- Experience in software development and proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL, including experience writing sophisticated SQL queries.
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments and coordinating onsite/offshore teams.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
