Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Holepunch peer-to-peer stack.
- Expand and support an ecosystem containing more than 1,500 public npm modules.
- Build production-scale Node.js applications using modular, maintainable code.
- Create and manage reusable npm modules.
- Test, debug, and optimize network protocols or systems for latency and throughput.
- Collaborate effectively with a remote, globally distributed team.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing Node.js applications at production scale.
- Strong ability to write modular, maintainable code.
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules.
- Solid testing and debugging skills.
- Deep interest or experience in peer-to-peer technologies or distributed systems.
- Good communication skills and comfort working remotely.
- Preferred: experience with native Node.js extensions using C/C++ or binding JavaScript to lower-level code.
- Preferred: familiarity with advanced networking concepts and optimization of network protocols or systems.
- Preferred: contributions to open-source projects, particularly in peer-to-peer or decentralized technology.
