Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and deploy backend services and AI-assisted applications supporting threat investigations.
- Partner with investigators and engineering teams to translate operational needs into practical software solutions.
- Build and integrate AI-powered features, APIs, and services.
- Troubleshoot production failures, processing delays, data inconsistencies, and system errors.
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays, to diagnose and resolve incidents.
- Improve reliability and observability through monitoring, logging, automated testing, documentation, and operational tooling.
- Investigate root causes across backend services, data pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows and implement sustainable fixes.
- Own engineering work end-to-end from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with Python and backend application development.
- Experience building, deploying, debugging, and maintaining production software systems.
- Experience with platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or production operations.
- Familiarity with backend services, REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and system integrations.
- Practical experience with AI-powered applications, LLM APIs, or model-assisted development tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting production environments through monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements.
- Ability to independently scope technical problems, prioritize work, and deliver maintainable solutions.
- Sound judgment when handling sensitive information and time-sensitive operational incidents.
- Availability for scheduled on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays.
- Preferred experience includes asynchronous job processing, background workers, task queues, distributed systems, AWS, GCP, Azure, internal tools, workflow automation, observability, structured logging, alerting, incident management, cybersecurity, trust and safety, or threat intelligence.
