Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable enterprise software, performant APIs, and real-time communication patterns.
- Debug complex full-stack and distributed-system issues and troubleshoot production incidents.
- Own code quality through testing, code reviews, technical research, and architecture proposals.
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain high availability and coordinate deployments across distributed systems.
- Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, and engineering teams.
- Break complex projects into milestones, identify risks, and coordinate cross-functional delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend or full-stack software development experience.
- Strong production Java experience and deep understanding of JVM-based systems.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale, including eventual consistency, fault tolerance, and high availability.
- Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs, webhooks, websockets, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience debugging complex systems and resolving difficult production issues across the full stack.
- Background in enterprise software development with knowledge of security, performance optimization, and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading technical designs, partnering with engineers, or driving initiatives across teams.
- Ability to incorporate AI tools into engineering workflows while retaining independent problem-solving and technical judgment.
- Preferred experience includes Salesforce development, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, Slack apps or APIs, observability, complex integrations, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Vue, generative AI APIs, Salesforce Einstein AI, or Hack.
