Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage large-scale, multi-region Kubernetes platforms on EKS and GKE.
- Own the Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, scaling, and disaster recovery planning.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness.
- Develop and operate EKS environments using Cilium, Istio/Envoy, Karpenter, IRSA, and Pod Identity.
- Contribute to Backstage adoption through templates, scaffolding workflows, and service catalog management.
- Create reusable Terraform modules, platform automation frameworks, and AI-driven deployment risk, anomaly detection, and pipeline insight capabilities.
- Improve platform security, observability, reliability, developer experience, and platform adoption through DevSecOps practices, SLIs/SLOs, and incident response.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in DevOps and Platform Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience managing production-scale Kubernetes environments on EKS and GKE.
- Deep proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Harness.
- Strong Python programming skills and understanding of Kubernetes networking, RBAC, autoscaling, service meshes, API gateways, and AWS multi-cloud environments.
- Experience with Backstage developer platforms and building reusable workflows, golden paths, and self-service capabilities.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, software supply chain security, artifact governance tools, Kafka, and AI-powered DevOps solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- AWS or GCP Solutions Architect, CKA, CKAD, CKS, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certifications are advantageous.
