Base Salary

$106k - $214k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain platform infrastructure software for HPE routers.
  • Develop routing-engine redundancy, high-availability features, chassis and line-card operations, fabric interconnects, and optical-module integration.
  • Develop and deliver diagnostics software to support router reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with system and solution test teams on high-quality product and solution delivery.
  • Partner with the HPE Technical Assistance Center to support critical customer escalations and deployments.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and four years of experience.
  • At least two years of C programming experience.
  • At least two years of C++ programming experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux.
  • Preferred: two or more years of object-oriented development in C, C++, or Python.
  • Preferred: exposure to routing and forwarding software.
  • Preferred: familiarity with optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, and flash drivers.
  • Preferred: experience with device drivers, system bring-up, and FreeBSD or Linux internals.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams with strong teamwork and communication skills.
