Responsibilities
- Build software infrastructure to deliver multimodal context to machine learning models.
- Optimize software harnesses and models for efficient on-device deployment.
- Transform computer vision research projects into production software that ships to customers.
- Partner with algorithm researchers on post-training model alignment and evaluation.
- Develop and integrate machine learning components into complex production systems.
- Optimize models for neural network accelerators such as the Apple Neural Engine and mobile GPUs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong machine learning fundamentals and understanding of multimodal large language model architectures.
- Proven experience writing production code for shipped on-device computer vision or ML features deployed on embedded platforms.
- Extensive programming experience in Python and C++.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch and the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data preprocessing, training, evaluation, and edge deployment.
- Experience with Supervised Fine-Tuning pipelines for adapting vision and multimodal foundation models to specialized on-device tasks.
- Preferred: programming experience with Swift and familiarity with CoreML, CoreFoundation, and RealityKit.
- Preferred: knowledge of real-time video pipelines, image transformations, and rendering loops.
- Preferred: experience optimizing models for neural network accelerators.
