Responsibilities
- Test new game features throughout development and provide clear, actionable feedback to developers.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and analyze bugs using detailed steps, logs, evidence, severity assessments, and potential root causes.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand feature intent, edge cases, and technical constraints.
- Verify bug fixes and detect regressions through functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists.
- Use debugging tools, logs, and game engine features to investigate issues and help maintain build stability.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, feature reviews, and sprint planning.
- Provide QA feedback on usability, clarity, and player experience.
Requirements
- Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Jira, and SQL, or with scripting languages.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and debugging tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to simulate real-world user scenarios.
- Strong understanding of game development workflows and tools such as Unity, Unreal, or proprietary engines.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and reproducible bug reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfort working directly with developers in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for games and curiosity about how systems and features are built.
- Preferred experience with console certification requirements or platform-specific testing.
- Preferred knowledge of version control systems such as Perforce or Git.
- Preferred experience in embedded QA, feature-focused QA, or Development QA roles.
