Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical delivery of complex platform initiatives while remaining hands-on with coding and design.
- Set technical direction and engineering standards and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Embed automated testing and TDD practices into CI/CD pipelines at scale.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, tooling, and delivery methodology.
- Engage with business analysts, business stakeholders, and production support to shape robust solutions.
- Own production issues and major incidents, including participation in incident calls.
- Identify, escalate, and manage technical and delivery risks across the platform.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on software development experience in Java delivering complex systems at scale.
- Deep expertise in automated testing methodologies, test automation, and TDD practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong technical background across databases, messaging and queueing, cloud, and observability technologies.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring without necessarily having formal line-management responsibility.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with business analysts, business stakeholders, and senior partners.
- Experience owning production issues and major incidents, including active participation in incident calls.
- Track record of improving engineering practices, tooling, and delivery methodology.
- Experience in financial services or Prime Brokerage is beneficial but not essential.
