
Senior Software Engineer (Fixed Income Risk System)

Responsibilities
- Communicate with technology product leads about improvements to existing and future technology solutions.
- Develop large-scale distributed systems for intraday and end-of-day risk, PnL, and market-scenario calculation and reporting.
- Redesign pricing and workflow applications for sales and traders through greenfield development.
- Redesign front-to-back risk scenario infrastructure for Fundamental Review of the Trading Book.
- Revamp market-data and marking systems within a strategic cross-asset platform.
- Design APIs that allow internal systems and processes to access pricing and risk analytics programmatically.
- Provide day-to-day IT coverage for the Macro business in EMEA and interact with sales and trading, desk strategies, FID COOs, operations, controllers, and market risk teams.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with distributed computing or cloud computing, Java or Scala development, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of DevOps and continuous development principles.
- Strong interest in learning about financial markets.
- Bachelor's level or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related computational discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred full-stack development experience and programming experience with HTML5/AngularJS, C++, and APL such as KDB/Q or A+.
- Preferred knowledge of fixed income markets, financial models, and risk management.
- Preferred experience developing financial risk calculation and management systems or trading tools.
- Preferred experience with the JVM.
