Responsibilities
- Drive the technical vision and architecture for scalable, reliable, and high-performing AdTech and Promotions platforms.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and projects and improve architectural consistency across complex systems.
- Develop backend services, data pipelines, and advertiser-facing tools for campaign execution, targeting, ranking, allocation, and reporting.
- Design systems supporting real-time or near real-time data and decision-making.
- Lead cross-team projects from concept through rollout across multiple regions and time zones.
- Ensure operational excellence through observability, reliability, and incident readiness for revenue-critical systems.
- Partner with engineering, product, and data stakeholders to align priorities and manage trade-offs.
- Mentor engineers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and scaling large distributed systems in production.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Experience with data-intensive and real-time or near real-time systems.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and languages, with experience or familiarity in Kotlin and Go services.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, and MongoDB.
- AdTech knowledge such as targeting, ranking, attribution, or experimentation is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, influence, consensus-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers and working across global teams.
