Lead Software Engineer

- Develop and maintain low-latency order routers for new markets, exchange upgrades, and production break-fixes.
- Design and implement software that connects to exchanges, brokers, systematic internalizers, and other liquidity sources.
- Participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and ongoing support.
- Perform exchange certification, regression testing, application configuration, and deployment.
- Support production infrastructure and provide L3 support for Exchange Connectivity applications.
- Contribute to modernization of the Exchange Connectivity platform and adoption of agentic tooling for code migration, testing, and operational efficiency.
- Communicate with product leads and technical teams to coordinate requirements, improvements, and project delivery.
- Guide junior staff and manage multiple functions or initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced expertise in low-latency engineering and experience with high-performance systems.
- Strong C++ knowledge combined with an understanding of AI and machine learning applications.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience developing distributed applications in a service-based architecture.
- In-depth understanding of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and threading techniques.
- Subject matter expertise in exchange-specific protocols, certification processes, regulatory requirements, and production operations.
- Ability to manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives while collaborating across teams.
