Base Salary
$170k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve the accuracy of ML/CV models for Samsara-specific problems.
- Contribute to R&D across product categories including video-based safety and vehicle telematics.
- Develop new models using petabyte-scale data from sensors and cameras.
- Optimize models for backend and edge device performance.
- Collaborate with firmware and full-stack teams for model deployment.
- Stay updated on industry research and adopt relevant technologies.
- Work with product teams to align ML/CV solutions with customer needs.
- Champion Samsara's cultural principles in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 3+ years in Computer Vision.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Golang, Java, or Python.
- Experience with ML tools like Spark, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with managing data processing and ML code via GitHub.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
