Base Salary
$82k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform in-depth security assessments across products and services to identify vulnerabilities.
- Create testing tools that help engineering teams identify security weaknesses.
- Conduct security design reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Review security alerts and recognize, escalate, contain, and mitigate security events.
- Contribute to post-event reviews, compliance assessments, audit readiness, and certification preparation.
- Implement security measures supporting internal and external obligations and maintain security-focused inventory systems.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Recommend data security practices using encryption, hashing, masking, and access management.
- Research emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and techniques to solve security problems.
- Independently manage work, timelines, deliverables, issue resolution, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Senior-level security engineering experience is indicated by the Senior Security Engineer title.
- Security clearance is required.
- Advanced knowledge of industry security practices is required.
- Ability to independently manage work, troubleshoot standard and non-standard issues, collaborate across teams, and contribute to continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week in Reston, VA.
