Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure as code using Pulumi and TypeScript.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters using Google Kubernetes Engine for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using BuildKite.
- Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Honeycomb and Google Cloud Logging.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide effective infrastructure solutions.
- Plan infrastructure scaling strategies and ensure high availability.
- Optimize cloud resource usage while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Develop and test disaster recovery and backup procedures.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and document infrastructure configurations and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations during working hours to support production systems.
Requirements
- Proven infrastructure-as-code experience, ideally with Pulumi.
- Proficiency in TypeScript for infrastructure code.
- Hands-on Kubernetes cluster management and orchestration experience.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as BuildKite, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Honeycomb, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts and security best practices.
- Preferred experience with Pulumi, GKE, TypeScript, BuildKite, and Honeycomb.
- Preferred experience implementing infrastructure security practices for compliance, managing and optimizing databases, and scaling Ruby on Rails applications.
- Preferred scripting skills in Ruby, Python, or Bash.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
