Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and technical design for secure, scalable, resilient, and reusable shared platforms, services, integrations, APIs, data pipelines, and automation.
- Build security tool integrations and reusable automation that reduce manual toil and duplicated engineering effort across security pods.
- Architect AI solutions that secure organizational AI use and apply AI to security operations, analysis, and decision support.
- Develop infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Python, Bash, PowerShell, AWS Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Build shared metrics, data, dashboarding, workflow, and reporting capabilities with common data models and integration patterns.
- Embed identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, network controls, data protection, logging, monitoring, and policy enforcement into solutions.
- Conduct proofs of concept, technical evaluations, and build-versus-buy assessments.
- Create reference architectures, implementation patterns, technical standards, onboarding guidance, service catalogs, runbooks, and architecture documentation.
- Maintain reliability, availability, observability, security, CI/CD, and operational tooling for shared platforms; support incidents and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering, secure development, automation, and architecture practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or a related combination of education and experience.
- At least 6 years of platform, infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, automation, integration, security engineering, or software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
- Experience applying AI, machine learning, or generative AI to automation, engineering, or security use cases.
- Experience architecting and developing reusable cloud or platform capabilities used by multiple teams.
- Experience with proofs of concept, technical evaluations, build-versus-buy assessments, and measurable outcomes such as adoption, reliability, toil reduction, or onboarding efficiency.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification, or equivalent demonstrated AWS expertise.
- Preferred experience with metrics platforms, APIs, workflow orchestration, regulated or financial-services environments, and relevant cloud, AI, security, or platform engineering credentials.
- Preferred experience with AI and machine learning services, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, model gateways, cloud security controls, CI/CD, containers, observability, and automated guardrails.
