Base Salary
$152k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain installation, packaging, and software delivery workflows for NVIDIA networking software across major Linux distributions.
- Develop and support meta-packages, software repositories, release channels, profiles, and tools for DEB, RPM, and Nix package managers.
- Automate package validation, release quality, and engineering workflows, including AI-assisted development workflows.
- Work with distribution maintainers and Nix/NixOS communities to support native packaging compatibility.
- Perform system-level testing and verification of package installations across platforms and OS versions.
- Collaborate with kernel, QA, release engineering, architecture, and support teams.
- Contribute to Linux kernel driver development and backporting for advanced networking features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of software development experience focused on Linux system-level development.
- Proficiency with dpkg, RPM, yum, apt, zypper, Nix, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with packaging standards, repository management, release automation, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across diverse Linux environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and customer-focused skills.
- Preferred qualifications include an MS degree or equivalent professional experience, NixOS production experience, package repository or software distribution infrastructure experience, AI-tool experience, Docker or Kubernetes familiarity, and large-scale data center or HPC deployment experience.
