Base Salary
$253k - $316k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical strategy, roadmap, architectural direction, technology choices, and technical debt management for the Issue Workflow platform.
- Architect and build real-time data pipelines, search backends, analysis systems, and workflows operating at billions-of-events scale.
- Solve complex performance and scalability challenges across distributed systems.
- Partner with engineering leadership, product, and design to shape the multi-quarter technical vision.
- Build high-quality, performant product features with careful attention to interfaces, error messages, loading states, edge cases, instrumentation, and user experience.
- Mentor and elevate engineers in systems design, coding practices, and product thinking.
Requirements
- 10+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, ideally with Python and TypeScript.
- Expertise in domain modeling, distributed systems, data stores, and message queues.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Kafka is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of eventual consistency, partitioning strategies, caching layers, query optimization, failure handling, and graceful degradation.
- Full-stack understanding spanning data ingestion, APIs, frontend performance, browser rendering, and user experience.
