
Java Software Engineer Consultant (12-month contract)

- Lead technical design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality code for the Collateral Management solution.
- Develop new application features aligned with the product roadmap.
- Support multiple deployment models for a growing customer base.
- Ensure application performance metrics are achieved and support reliable, efficient delivery.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design.
- Contribute to process changes, continuous improvement, and team-level development enhancements.
- Collaborate with teammates and clients to improve designs, code, tools, and ways of working.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering or application development.
- Strong development and design experience with Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Docker, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and SASS.
- Experience integrating AI assistants into daily software development workflows.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, Maven, AWS, and at least one major relational database, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and client-facing work.
- A relevant third-level degree or professional qualification and a high standard of English.
- Desirable experience includes banking or financial services, Linux, cloud development, React, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, Spring Security, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
