Responsibilities
- Build backend systems for Pinner-facing features.
- Lead the product development process from ideation to release.
- Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams for end-to-end functionality.
- Suggest new product ideas and features from a user perspective.
- Employ automated testing to ensure high technical quality.
- Design and operate large-scale distributed systems.
- Understand and address new requirements from engineering customers.
- Improve the developer process and experience.
- Leverage AI for faster execution and to automate tasks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- Proficiency in common backend tech stacks for RESTful APIs and data processing.
- Experience writing reliable and maintainable code.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience leading projects or mentoring others.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or Go.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve workflow.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
