Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and operate full-stack features for elastic.co across React components, backend services, and production infrastructure.
- Instrument frontend and backend systems with performance monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and dashboards.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and developers to build, test, and release website features.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, frontend build tooling, bundle optimization, and deployment automation.
- Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities, including reproduction, root-cause analysis, validation, and coordinated disclosure.
- Diagnose production issues and participate in code reviews and an on-call rotation for an always-on service.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a full-stack or frontend engineering role.
- Strong production experience with TypeScript and React, including component architecture, performance, and state management.
- Hands-on experience building, deploying, debugging, and maintaining backend services with Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or an equivalent tool.
- Experience building highly available and scalable production systems and resolving security issues.
- Demonstrated use of AI to accelerate development, debug systems, and optimize code while retaining ownership of outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed team.
